Swing-World.net was started by a swinging couple from Florida, in the United States, know as Webby & Angel.

Webby was responsible for previously producing two of the world's most popular Swingers Websites. The first was Swingers CyberConnect, which in 2000 was ranked by Yahoo as the Most Popular Swinging Website in the world. It was created in 1998, and closed in 2002.

In 2001, SwingTampa.com was formed, and quickly became the largest localized Swingers site in the world! It was closed in 2006 after Webby moved from Tampa to Southern Florida.

In light of the successes of such websites as MySpace.com® and Hi5® in the area of forming Networking Communites, and in light of the success of Plenty of Fish® in offering a FREE Dating Service that has now become the largest dating service in the world, Webby decided to launch a new website that incorporated elements of the aforementioned sites, but catering strictly to the Swinging Lifestyle! And, at the end of August of 2007, Swing-World.net was formed!

Swing-World.net combines the Free Personals aspect of Plenty of Fish® with the Networking Communities and Media capabilities of MySpace®!
